Lauren Burns, OTR/L

Name: Lauren Burns, OTR/L

Location: Columbus, OH

Practice Area: Older adults-Skilled Nursing

Favorite Occupation: Religious and spiritual activities and expressions

How often do you engage in your favorite occupation?

“Every day and once a week in larger groups”

What do you get out of it?

“I have space to be filled up in love and time to reflect on myself. I love starting each day with a positive word and space to journal. I also love having a community of people who care about me outside of work, who support me in what I do and show me love.”

What does it mean to your lyfe?

“This occupation means to me that there is something else that I am here for and that I am always loved. No matter what happens day to day for me as an OT practitioner, I know that I can try again, be grateful for what has happened, and reflect so I can grow in love and grace each day.”

I am a thinker and probably a big overthinker and I love going for walks to give me time to reflect. What do you to pause and reflect on your day?
