“Ultimate gives me a community, a social outing each week, and fun exercise!”
What does it mean to your lyfe?
“Besides being a fantastic way to get some exercise (running after a disc is way more fun!), Ultimate is a sport with a very unique feature: Ultimate is self-officiated, which means that all rules need to be upheld and disputes need to be settled by the players themselves. The “spirit of the game” is the understanding that the competition never gets in the way of the respect for the other players or the joy of the game. I have been playing since middle school, and I have met many of my best friends and even my husband playing Ultimate!”
I admit that I have never played this sport before, but would love to give it a go one of these days. Any other ultimate players here?
