In a perfect world, she would hike every week, but while she’s in school, she’s only getting on a trail 2-3 times a month.
When asked, what she gets out of hiking, she mentioned, “I love the mental and physical challenges hikes present. Additionally, beautiful vistas, pounding waterfalls, and serene meadows make the journey a buffet for the senses. I never feel so in my body and present in the moment than when I am on a trail.”
“For me, hiking is a physical, spiritual, and leisure occupation. It’s weekly inclusion in my routine helps me feel balanced, present, and, for anyone who knows me, regulated.”
