I is for Interprofessional Collaboration

One of the best parts about being an occupational therapy practitioner is getting to collaborate with so many different professionals.

From doctors to nurses to physical therapists, speech language pathologists, respiratory therapists, techs, assistants, vision specialists, teachers and educators, psychologists and psychiatrists, social workers, case managers, colleagues, students, and the list goes on and on.

I know I highly value and appreciate any time that I get to learn from and collaborate with another professional, within my daily life and especially when I volunteer abroad. The picture above was taken during one of my volunteer trips to Peru and what you see is a bunch of different specialists all working together for the benefit of our clients.

The ABCs of OT was created by Shannen Marie. For more #otmonth fun, follow along to see what the rest of the alphabet has in store.

Do you love interprofessional collaboration as much as I do? Drop a ?in the comments if you love collaboration.
