One of my biggest passions in life is volunteering internationally. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to volunteer in some amazing places, including Cambodia, Honduras, Ecuador, and Peru.
I have worked alongside some of the most amazing professionals and contributed to cities who have limited or no access to occupational therapy services.
Not only do I get to help children and people across the globe, but I get to learn from them. Every time I volunteer, I become inspired.
Keep in mind that I don’t just show up, throw on a bandaid, and then leave. I do a ton of research on the organizations that I work with to make sure that the work that I do while I am there can be carried over by local professionals to ensure a responsible and sustainable environment.
