G is for Gardening

I actually interviewed a good friend of mine about how she incorporates gardens and gardening into her occupational therapy sessions. She talks all about the importance of gardens and how impactful they can be to helping children learn and thrive.

“When the kids are able to grow and then use a plant for consumption, they get this connection with a healthy edible, but also get a connection with functional skills of self-sufficiency. They get the full spectrum of what a plant can do for us.” – Deedee Levine MS, OTR/L, YT-200, CD @deedeelevinetherapeutics
