A is for ACCESSIBILITY

One of the pivotal frameworks for occupational therapy is accessibility for all people. Whether that means ramps as well as stairs so people with different motor abilities can access places or by producing material that can be consumed both through sight and vision so people who have differing vision or hearing abilities can still have access to the material.

Accessibility can be impacted in so many ways and it is our job as occupational therapy practitioners to break down the barriers that our clients face so that they can access their meaningful occupations.

Accessibility is key in #OT.

The ABCs of OT was created by Shannen Marie. For more #otmonth fun, follow along to see what the rest of the alphabet has in store.
