best of occupational therapy

Hey y’all. I’m keeping with the theme game and this week I want to Tok about occupational therapy practitioners on Tik Tok. I’m new to the Tik Tok game and haven’t even put out a video yet, but I’ve been doing some OT stalking and let me just say there are some awesome OTPs doing some great work on Tik Tok.

@tiffanychristine_otrl

This girl has been absolutely killing it on Tik Tok with tons of videos for advocacy, tips for other practitioners, and she even Toks about some of her OT journey as well.

@spilltheot

Tok about another OT who is bringing her A game on Tik Tok. Robyn shares information about working as an OT in the hospital setting and definitely keeps it real.

@arthritislife

Not only is Cheryl amazing at Youtube, but seriously her Tik Tok videos I could watch for hours. She shares real Tok all about empowering and educating people who have rheumatoid arthritis. Definitely check out her videos about arthritis tips, tricks, and hacks.

@ot4kids

If you’re looking for more Toking about pediatric occupational therapy then go tune in to Karmen @ot4kids. She’s got some great info and insights about ADHD too.

@msalexaot

Tok about a little of everything, Ms. Alexa’s got it all. A little bit of therapy activities, a little bit of teletherapy, and a lot of OT advocacy, my favorite.

The Housing Saga is Over (at least for now)

We officially picked up the keys to our new place last night. We ended up just going for a rental because the market was just too crazy and we needed to find a place to live as of this Friday when our AirBnb stay is over.

While it’s not exactly what we wanted, it is in a killer location, right near the water and in a really cool area of town. I think it will work for the time being and at least allow us to get settled after being on the road and not having a permanent house for over a year. We move in on Friday! The only bad news is that our stuff won’t arrive till next Thursday so we’ll be living in a place with no furniture for about a week. Wish us luck!

On Monday, I released a new podcast episode digging deeper into 3 really important things that every OT entrepreneur or entrepreneur-to-be should consider. My chat with Joseph from Friendly Shoes really got my OT entrepreneur brain going and I had so much to share about this topic.

Also, I have received some amazing voicemails so far and can’t wait to share them in an upcoming podcast episode. Want to chime in your response, leave a comment in the community and also a voicemail answering this month’s question of the month- What’s your best advice for OT and OTA students?

We’ve got 3 days left of the #30daylungechallenge aka 50 lunges (25 a side) for 30 days. If you wanna join in, post a video on your Instagram story, tag me @ot.4.lyfe, and use the #lunges4lyfe so we can hold each other accountable #accountabilOT. Check out my IG stories everyday to see all the lungers in action. Stay tuned for the next exercise to be announce in the coming days and get ready because this one has OT written all over it.

Got resources you want to share? Hit me up because I would love to feature them or have you as a guest blogger for “The BOOT”. Contact me here.

Cheers!
