Hey BOOTers!!

Welcome to the February 2021 Best of OT!

This week I released a podcast episode with Trish Williams all about entrepreneurship. In it we discussed how there used to be very few resources out there for OT practitioners and students who are interested in entrepreneurship.

Fortunately, this has changed over the past couple of years and so today I wanted to highlight some of the amazing podcasts hosted by OT practitioners who talk about entrepreneurship.

Mind Your OT Business

This podcast hosted by Laura Park Figueroa is all about occupational therapy and business. From valuable interviews with guests to actionable monologues by the host, you’re sure to learn a thing or two in each and every episode.

OTs Get Paid

Here’s a brand new OT podcast on the block that gets right down to a very important subject… money! Trish Williams shares how OT business owners set goals, overcome barriers in business, and most importantly make some mulah.

OTs Gone Rogue

Another new podcast all about trailblazers, visionaries, and thought leaders in the therapy world. Melissa LaPointe dives deep into conversations about entrepreneurship, growth, recovery, and well-being.

Therapy Entrepreneurs and Leaders of Color

Host Tomeico Faison interviews amazing therapy entrepreneurs and leaders of color about their journeys and experiences in leadership and entrepreneurship. The show aims to inspire and support other therapy practitioners and students on their own journeys.

Private Practice Survival Guide

Ok so the host Brandon Seigel is not technically an OT, but he is married to one (and we happened to go to OT school together) and has a bunch of OT and other healthcare professionals in his family. So he definitely speaks the therapy language as he shares insight from his years helping therapy business owners not just survive, but thrive.

OT 4 Lyfe Entrepreneurship

I have also released some episodes centered around OT entrepreneurship and you might recognize some of the names from above.

I also appeared on an episode of Brandon’s podcast talking about my journey as an OT entrepreneur.

And ICYMI, I just hit a HUGE podcast milestone… 100 episodes. Not only did I hit this milestone, but also my buddy and fellow OT podcaster Brock Cook hit the milestone at the exact same time. Join our discussion as we chat about out OT podcasting journey, the good, the bad, and like umm ya know the ugly.

Also, I’m asking for help if you are an OT 4 Lyfe podcast listener. Could you take a few minutes to fill out this survey about what you like about the show, what you dislike, and any other feedback you’d like to share with me? All surveys that are completed and submitted by February 28, 2021 will be entered into a giveaway for a chance to win a $25 gift card. I will be picking two winners and announcing on March 1, 2021.

Do you have questions about OT and money? Then don’t forget to get them in for this months question of the month. Head on over to https://ot4lyfe.com/questionofthemonth/ for a direct link to leave a voicemail. You’ll have 90 seconds to state your name, where you’re calling from (blog, podcast, social media channel, school, etc.) and then ask your questions. If you have more to say, feel free to leave another voicemail or two. I will be compiling them into an upcoming podcast episode and answering them because money needs to be talked about more.

Got resources you want to share? Hit me up because I would love to feature them or have you as a guest blogger for “The BOOT”. Contact me here.

Cheers!
